驀蘭 is a made-up word and if you look at the lyrics, its being compared to other birds. Since just translating it as "molan" keeps on making me see the word "molar"...so I decided to translate it as "bluebird". alan's "lan" in Chinese means blue, so see what I did there
EnglishHer wings are as thin as paper
Her songs are as fine as silk
She rests in the wind when she's tired
But she never lands for anyone
She yearns for a beautiful world
She fantasizes and sings a song
She never speaks of her hardships to anyone
She heads straight through the winding roads
(*) You only see the sparrow fluttering towards the flourishing wilderness
But you never see the bluebird flying in solitude
You only hear the nightingale's gentle melodies
But you never hear the bluebird silently struggling to sing
She gradually plumps her feathers
Her sharp gaze blazes like fire
She hides in the rain when she's tired
But she never cries for anyone
She longs for the endless horizon
She fearlessly bloom beautifully
She doesn't care for those skeptical voices
And overcome all obstacles on her journey
(*) Repeat
Do you know the faces of those before they were forgotten?
They once flew like the bluebird
Do you know the appearance that others envy?
They once softly hummed like the bluebird
They once softly hummed like the birdbird
