驀蘭 is a made-up word and if you look at the lyrics, its being compared to other birds. Since just translating it as "molan" keeps on making me see the word "molar"...so I decided to translate it as "bluebird". alan's "lan" in Chinese means blue, so see what I did there

just me thinking (not that hard to realize that though), this song really describes alan in the beginning of her career in japan - how hard it was for her, how lonely she was, and yet she never complained (there was an interview of hers and her parents, where they say when she called them she never told them about her struggles, she kept them for herself, until she finally 1 time cracked up and cried to them). also, the difficulty of Japanese (the langauge) and how hard and long it was for her to just learn the lyrics of Ashita e no Sanka - which btw, in the music video of the song, she was a full fledged blue bird, which sealed the deal for me ;D

edit: dafuq, the song is soooooo catchy - when im not listening to it, im humming it in my brainz   ... this is madness!

This is probably my favorite of the previously unreleased tracks from the album, even more so now that you've been so kind as to translate the lyrics for the song Pommy. Thanks for being awesome! I can't seem to get this song out of my head lol :D

I have to agree with yum, it does seem like a look at her journey as a musician up to this point.
And the translation makes the MV make a little more sense too but not really.

if tones mattered in songs and i would have to take consideration of the tones, i wouldnt even worry about finding pinyin lyrics
