This is a thread where you can ask other members to try and convince you to become a fan of artists you are unsure of, or recommend artists who you feel need more attention!
When recomending an artist to other members, post videos, photos, songs and anything that you feel can properly convey why this artist is awesome and why we should listen to them. Be enthusiastic! You want to convert as many people as possible, right? x3

PROMOTING TIME! if you ignore any of the artists I mention in this thread I will come and stomp your alan CDs into a pile of dust.
FANS OF ELECTROPOP AHOY!
Mizca is a japanese electropop artist - major flop! she was first known as masami in sister Q and then as mitsuoka masami and now as mizca. Sister Q never even released an album and as mitsuoka masami her only single to chart in the top 50 was her anime single ''last cross''. Her debut album as Mizca was #202 in the oricon weekly rankings which made me rip the hair off my head.
Mizca has suddenly become one of my most played artists on last.fm because of her incredibly catchy songs - her voice is very over edited and chipmunk like but don't blame me if you start singing ''robotics robotics kiss me its automatic'' at 3am.
Debut Digital single ''Robotics'' hella catchy if you ignore the horrible dancing.
CM for first album for a quick flip trough some songs
recommended album/single: ♡UFUFU♡ favorite song: Robotics and たっくんが好きなの・・・

Mizca Not my cup o' tea. Sorry!
Yoko Yazawa I like her! Actually, I knew about her before this thread, so I've already listened throught her album. My favorite song right now is don't look back and crazy for you. All in all, "YOKO YAZAWA" is a pretty solid debut album! And Yoko is a total cutie!♥ I'll definitely keep an eye on her in the future.
Kana Yazumi Pretty~ I'm always on the lookout for more dramatic rock ballad ladies, so thanks for the heads up! I really like バタフライエフェクト. Will be keeping an eye on Ms. Yazumi as well!

Double post bcos momoclo doesn't share posts.
~BEST IDOL GROUP EVERRRRRrrr~
''But they look like all other idol groups...'' if you thought that I should be there to punch you and then kill you with a momoclo CD but I don't wanna ruin perfect CDs.
I've been listening to momoiro clover about one year now and I'm so in love now that I have to share this with evuhryone. Momoiro Clover (ももいろクローバー) or Momoclo (ももクロ) is a female idol group now signed to King Records, They made their major debut in mid 2010 on universal japan (oricon daily number one). Their catchphrase is "Shuumatsu heroines" (週末ヒロイン), meaning "Week-end heroines"
All members have a different color so its easy to learn their names (makes my life so much easier thank god).
Shiori (Yellow) (1995, the girl with pigtails) Kanako (Red) -leader- (1994, most athletic member) Momoka (Green) (1995, shortest member at 147cm) Ayaka (pink) (1996, youngest member) Akari (Blue) -sub-leader- (1995, tallest member at 165cm) Reni (Purple) (1993, oldest member)
''still look like all other idols'' if you though that Imma get my frying pan not my fist. they have SO MUCH ENERGY in their lives and PVs I'm almost afraid that they might pass out in the middle of a song. They should teach AKB48, momusu ETC how to perform upbeat songs live - watch these vids and you will understand 100% what I mean, if not, fire, lots of it, on you. tyvm.
second indies single ''未来へススメ!''
akari needs a new stylist
a part from a ''行くぜっ!怪盗少女'' performance
kanako flashing
and I got tired just watching them run around like this in a ''ココ☆ナツ'' live COCOCOCOCOCOCOCOCOCOOO

neme is the only one who give recommendation, I should bring some XD
Mizca I'm not a big fan of electro pop but I like this album, I love Robotic~
Yoko Yazawa OH YEAH, she is awesome! (Kinda remind me a little to Nana Kitade, without gothic lolita make ups) Her self-titled album is solid, I love Honey Bunny & SUGAR!SUGAR!!SUGAR!!! It's sooo catchy~
Yazumi Kana She's underrated, but her songs are awesome, the first three track from first album definitely my favorite, and how awesome her ballad is *_*
For both above, I haven't tried, I think I'm interested to Momoiro Clover, they are from Stardust :shocked
EDITED: I was bored so I will introduce all of you to those girls in my avatar.
Kalafina is a Japanese pop group founded by Kajiura Yuki that originally was to perform theme songs for the movie series Kara no Kyoukai -the Garden of sinners-. If you didn't know who is Kajiura Yuki, she is Japanese female composer, usually her works are anime-related, and Kara no Kyoukai is anime as well. But please give a chance about their song.
Kalafina are (From the first pic):
Wakana Ootaki / Wakana
Keiko Kubota /Keiko
Masai Hikaru / Hikaru
Maya Toyoshima / Maya (Former member, appears only in sprinter / ARIA)
I described Kalafina as a wonderland, some of their musics sounds magical (their genre are varies, but mostly pop classical) and I love their voice, those girls are really can sing, you MUST watch their live performance.
They debuted with oblivious, this is the live performance :
They also sang background vocals live
This is the PV for a song entitled "sprinter"
Upbeat yet sad song
Hikari no Senritsu from 2nd Album "Red Moon"
Kind of old style music, traditional~
Lacrimosa from 2nd Album "Red Moon"
I just loved their vocals here
Sorry If I post subbed PVs, their stuffs are hard to find, Sony is more strict.
Recommendations : BOTH ALBUMS! Their first album has a nice flow, but their second album has a weird flow yet stronger song. Anyway, try ARIA, fairytale & Red Moon for epic ballad, sprinter & Lacrimosa for upbeat song.
For further info, ask me on Twitter.

Yuma Takahashi and Aina Tanaka both model for the Japanese fashion magazine Egg. After topping the Recochoku club music charts in 2009, they made their major label debut in early 2010 and released their debut album “QUEEN” in summer 2010.
like most gyaru models yumachi and aina don't have any talent really either but their songs are lots of fun and catchy. They are my replacement for the loss of Sifow.

Rina Sakurai commonly know as Sakurina is a model for the himegyaru oriented magazine Koakuma Ageha. In March of 2008 she started her career as a solo vocalist, releasing her first single called “Angel”. She is now back as ''Rina''.

Ebisu Muscats is a Japanese idol group comprised of both gravure idols and adult video stars. Their popularity comes from their variety show Onedari!! Muscat. They debuted with the single “Banana Mango High School / 12 no 34 de Naite with Namida Yonshimai” which charted at #8 in the oricon weekly charts.

バナナ・マンゴー・ハイスクール
私マンボー
------------
Juliet
Juliet is a gyaru group. It consists of 3 members named Hami, Maiko, and Yumi. Without them ever showing what they looked like, the single ''natsu love'' shot up to #1 on the Chaku Uta and Recochoku Uta Charts with over 500,000 downloads.
Enough said, they are amazing, awesome, epic, beautiful, stunning queens.

Momoiro Clover Their dancing is super cute and energetic, but I can't quite get into the songs...
Kalafina I already know them, and I'll listen to them from time to time. They're good.

^Woah, that's a lot of gyaru and boobs. It's good you take your time posting though, it makes the thread look all pretty!
Oh, and I have an artist I want to share as well~ -------------------------------------------------------------------
阿部真央
Abe Mao is a singer-songwriter who debuted in January 2009 with the album "Free". By junior high, she had decided that she wanted to become a singer, and spent a lot of her time writing songs and learning to play the guitar. Appearantly, most of the songs featured on "Free" was written during this time.
Abema is awesome in that she can go from catchy, cute songs to rock to slow, acoustic ballads. I guess some people would call her voice annoying, but I rather like it. Then again, I'm ridiculously biased when it comes to this girl♥
Hmm, I think I'll let the songs do the talking for me.
Free - Typical Abema song
Anata no Koibito ni Naritai no desu - Aah, too pretty♥
Lonely - Her most recent single. A very catchy and fun song!
Recommended album songs:Mada, Deadline, Wakaru no, actually just check out her two albums.

Changin' My Life
genre: Jpop Changin' My Life (also known as CML) was a J-pop band which consisted of Myco (vocals), Shintarō Tanabe (guitar), and Noritaka Henmi (keyboard). They debuted in 2001, and broke up in 2003.
The band is well-known for providing most of the songs for the popular Japanese anime series, Full Moon o Sagashite. Their lead singer, Myco, was also a voice actress for Mitsuki Kōyama, the main character in the series. The songs featured in the series are "Myself," "Love Chronicle," "Eternal Snow," and "New Future." Two other songs were also used in the series, but did not play as prominent a role (i.e., a few lines of "Focus" appear at the very beginning of episode 1; and "Smile" plays during a Christmas scene midway through episode 37, and as the last song in the live concert in episode 52).
Their lead singer, Myco, left the band to become a solo vocalist.
genre: Jpop Mikuni Shimokawa (下川 みくに, Shimokawa Mikuni?) (born 19 March 1980 in Shizunai, Hokkaido, Japan) is a J-pop singer and songwriter. She is best known for her songs used for anime theme music, particularly the opening and ending themes of the Full Metal Panic! series. In addition to her vocal talents, Shimokawa can also play the piano. She is a former member of the girl group Checkicco.

B'z... They're the longest active Japanese band but they have the most epic songs around! My recommendations are HOME, Liar! Liar!, Samayoeru Aoi Dangan, Suima Yo, Eien no Tsubasa, OCEAN, SPLASH!, Mou Ichido Kiss Shita Katta, Itsuka no Merry Christmas, BAD COMMUNICATION, BLOWIN', SUPER LOVE SONG, MY LONELY TOWN, Ichibu To Zenbu and so on... (Geez, that was a long list! @_@)
Another recommendation.. Koshi Inaba. Yeah, he's the lead singer of B'z. But he also releases solo when B'z isn't active. His best album is 志庵 (Shian).
Here's the Shian album for good measure! :D (志庵 download)

Remembered this thread and checked Mizca out (as she's releasing a new single next month).
Now, I'm officially addicted to Dame-yo.
Her chipmunk voice could fit so well Eurobeat songs, I just picture it, that could be awesome.
Kalafina's songs are beautiful. Their new song "Magia" is pure win.
Dameyo dame !
