| ALAN THE WORLD #8
Singer and AneCan model alan: her present, past & future. What did you do when you received your first paycheck? I was happy that I finally had some money to spend. I wasted my money at first, but only for a short while. I quickly set myself straight~ Well, and your first bonus? I gave everything to my mother and father.
I’ve been focusing on music ever since I was a child. It cost a lot of money. My parents saved up money for me. Back then, I thought, “You’re both suffering for my sake, I’m sorry.” But it feels kind of different now. My dad’s fine, but my mother... she’s stingy (laugher). Ah, ‘stingy’ sounds bad. I’ll rephrase it! My mother really treasures money.
When we came to Japan, I expected to go shopping with my mom, but she got really angry with me. Prices in Japan are very high compared to China. She got furious when she looked at the price tags. Even though I wanted to be a good daughter and buy her some clothes~ When we went to an outlet store in Gotenba, she still wouldn’t buy anything. I’d tell her, “It’s cheap!” but she’d call everything “expensive!”
It’s good to treasure money, but I’ve always been a good daughter, so I want to be a little free now. We can’t be together both in Japan and China. That’s why I want to give her things when she’s in Japan.
I send my parents money every month, but it looks like they’re saving that money for me again. I get scolded when I send them a present. That’s why, lately, I tell them it’s a present I got from my staff. It looks like it’s alright if I haven’t bought it myself (laughs).
My way of spending money might be similar to my parents’. I love bargains! My bag was also a bargain. My sunglasses were 40% off. I bought them at Haneda Airport. And I received this one, and this, too. And these two, as well. But I bought this wallet... hn? Wait, my manager bought it for me (laughs).
I’ve mentioned before that my first Japanese home was a ‘monthly mansion’ which was pre-furnished with appliances and furniture. When I moved into my current home, everyone asked me, “What do you need?” They gave me a TV, refrigerator, bed and much more. I received everything? But I’m not stingy, you know~ I’m just really good at receiving things. ...I tried to rephrase it again (laughs). |

Oh, alan♥ This entire column is just full of adorable moments! I love that alan seems to be really close to her family, even now when they live far away from each other. - Quote :

| Thanks for the translation! alan is so sweet and genuine ahahaha I wonder what her parents think when she does an interview talking about them. I'd be so proud as a parent. It's nice to hear that they're so close. |
