I find this interesting, so are you a fan or a stan? I didnt want to put an option 'somewhere between' cause I want to see clear situation Bingo

I don't have a precise idea of what a STAN is - or what it differs from being a FAN, but if I'm right then I'd call myself a stan hahaha

I think the word "stan" is more deep than "fan" It's just like you're addicted to Alan, obsessed to her, everyday you listen to her music and you freaking out when a channel on TV show her songs and when a friend ask you question like "who is the one in your life " or "who you like best", Alan will be always the answer. .. A fan is like you like her, but you like the other artist too, the love for her = the love for the other, I don't mean when I'm saying it, but I think stan > fan or in easy meaning, stan = hardcore fan.

I'm not good at English, I just describe it by the way I understand the words.

I meant it as weentori explained ^^, stan is someone who's number 1 artist is alan,
who listens to her everyday, buys all her cds and stuff.

If you wanna remember, stan = stalker + fan. It's also derived from an Eminem song of the same name.

I love her voice and personality, but there are also times where I don't listen to her songs for a long time and I don't love all her songs.

I would call myself a normal good fan, I buy some things and follow her releases and news weekly.

Well, I think I'm just a fan. Maybe I'm quite looked like obsessed to know anything regarding her music career and a bit of daily life, thanks to her habit posting so many photos on Twitter everytime I've been used to be knowing what she eat today or where she go XD
but I still can distinguish which are things fans allowed to know and which are private things we should respect.

I love her and do thinking her voice is one of the best, but I also love other artists. When I'm in the mood for alan's songs I could play them all day long but I would also do the same to other artists' as well and there were times when I didn't listen alan at all for a day.
I would like to buy most releases to support her, but I never forced myself to have anything, when I ran out of money, or the song didn't meet my taste - the opera one for example, I can't even remember the title honestly - I didn't buy it.

I used to be a stan, but Now i'm just a fan, I often get tired of artist fast and as the way thing going with her career I'm shying away.

Stan sounds so negative, so I voted for fan, but I really, REALLY love alan! I listen to her songs every day and also watch her PVs/concerts very often! Love

I own all her albums and concert DVDs and even though I normally don't buy singles, I want to buy all from alan (I only have three so far, but I plan to buy them all!!).
