This is something alan told me in confidante and I don't want to betray her trust...so I'm not going to publicly say it, but I'm just going to give you guys some hints.

alan said if she has to compromise herself for the Chinese music market, she would rather not make music anymore.

And if things goes accordingly to how she wants it, there may be some changes next year.

My guess is, she won't return to Japan since that would compromise the Chinese market for her...
or... I hate to think this could be it, but maybe she wouldn't make a Tibetan album (like she said she possibly would) because it's a sore spot for some Chinese with the whole Tibet issue, from what I understand?

I don't think she will ever return to Japan because she has absolutely no contract over there anymore.

I would think compromising would mean singing generic songs meant for the mass public

Well anyways, I would never want it to come to the point where she stops making music, but it is great to hear that she won't compromise who she is as a person just to sell some albums. That takes a lot of personal courage I think.

Are she happy about her music?
Seems like japanese times were more good to her, even far away from home!

Aw, I'm so excited but, now I want to know more. What style of music does she want her next album to be then? Was she happy with her last album?

I suppose I'm already disappointed since it seems like she won't return to Japan. But it's great that she has demands and want to decide for herself what kind of music she'll perform, and not let someone else decide everything. I think she'll be able to create the best music possible that way, regardless of if it's the most commercially successful music or not.

I am glad that she is strong willed and is not letting the industry turn her into something she doesn't want to be. She has so much unique talent that it would be a shame. Go Alan; we fans support your decisions about your music.

I'm a little bit scared. What if she never release something new? Well, if she's happy and it's her decision, I'm ok with that.
