The single did'nt chart in the top 30.

I don't really like this new Single ‟DREAM EXPRESS ～夢現空間超特急～” that much. The songs isn't growing on me alot and her voice sounds too squeaky in my opinion.  Although, I was lookin' really forward to the other song「今ひとたびの修羅」this is more of a Japanese type of ballad song... that's why I have a high feelings that if this song will release as a Single or in iTunes. It's going to top the oricon charts. I hope so. Haha！

@pommy48 I have a request, would you like to ask alan when「今ひとたびの修羅」is goin' to release as a Single or Digital Single... if not, then at least on iTunes？(>_<)

First Love is nice, but a bit too bland for me, but the high note at the end was really nice

Just finished listening to it. Kinda what I expected from the previews from before - your generic pop song for an anime aimed at a young audience, that doesn't really take advantage of alan's vocal abilities. First Love was better, but again, nothing too special. However, like Pommy said, the high note at the end was pretty nice.   Though, honestly, did anyone else feel like it was gonna break into "Beauty and the Beast" when the song started?

It's funny cause alan once had a live duet with the male singer from the Beauty and the Beast theme song lol

Well, you can expect a lot with a horrible tie-in, zero promotion and months without new music

I immediately thought about Beauty and The Beast!! I thought I was the only one! 

the oricon chart for the week is out and aln is not even in the top 50. The last one sold 1,991 copies so alan had no good sales at all... so yeah! she's dead in japan.

No promotion,and some store even not put it on chart.
Its not easy for this single that can ome into the weekly chart.
And even alan,herself ,doesnt really mind of this single.

Honestly, I think this single deserved no more than this -.- I want alan to be successful, but not with singles like that, that's not the way, and I hope avex got the message (if they're even still insterested in her).

Chart failures like this effect future releases. :( I bought the CD as well, because it was a good song, and I want to see Alan release more in Japan because I generally enjoy her Japanese music and I love when she does the same songs in both Japanese and Chinese.. I miss songs like what she released in her first couple of years active those were the good years. But it's not like this CD was terrible and didn't deserve good things as well. Top 100 would've been great for it. 2k in sales would've been reasonable. I'm afraid the record label will look at it like well shes not relevant anymore so we shouldn't waste our time in Japan. I realize in Japan artists don't have to chart or sell millions to keep releasing as they do here in America, where you are somebody one minute and gone the next. But alan has been just barely hanging on ever since she started. I want to see at least one break out song from her that sells over 100k. She deserves one so much. I realize this song wasn't that song, but I just hope a great one comes along.

Sadly, alan has rarely been a "big name". Now, the "big artists" can afford to release a single which isn't amazing, but overall not bad, and sell just nicely. But with alan, they need to work a little harder. She's not gonna sell with the "pop idol" image: her strong point is her voice and her ethnic image. If you're not gonna use them, she's hardly gonna sell.
I know DREAM EXPRESS wasn't awful, but the competition in Japan is too strong: the amount of releases is so big that a weak single -unless is released by someone already famous- is gonna disappear

They don't even put info on her official website, and not many people know the existence of this single. Anyway this is more an anime single.

no she is definitely not a pop idol, and no matter how much you guys love her and want her to be one, she's never gonna make it, this is what i say from the start, but who am i to question the great and mighty record companies... "voice of earth" has a few songs where she was "allowed" to sing (like: a hymn for tomorrow, rain of mercy, etc) but look at "my life" it's all but cheap pop except "ballad"  

to be honest i haven't even downloaded any of her "new chinese" songs, because they are just...

Well, I actually think "my life" album was an understandable move back then: I get they didn't want her stuck with the same style forever. Even if it's her strong point, I get they wanted to give her more space for experimenting, and I agreed with them, as much as I love alan tibetan walls of awesomness, I was curious to hear what she could do trying new ways. Problem is, half the album was pretty weak. Not bad, but not nearly as good as the first one. Some songs though prove alan can do good in other styles if given the chance (I mean, things as Nobody knows but me, Lost Child and Call My Name were pretty solid in my opinion, and Over The Cloud is simply amazing).
So I understand the change of style for my life, it was a risk, they could have done better, but in the end I still think alan was a bit unlucky. Some singer had more success with less worthy stuff than my life album, but unfortunately it simply didn't happen for alan.
But now, that alan has almost disappeared in Japan, a bland pop single makes no sense imo. To make people remember her they needed something of a trademark, like an ethnic song as a B-Side. Or so I think, it was just an anime single anyway!XD
