| Ugh, The Illiad, after reading The Odyssey I wouldn't read it even if someone paid me. Doing Classics has ruined Homer for me forever. =/ While Eng Lit only made me love Austen more, heh. The Portrait of Dorian Gray - Oscar Wilde Emma - Jane Austen Wuthering Heights - Emily Bronte ( before Twilight vomited over it) The Book Theif - Markus Zusak (Never cried so much at a book) Frankenstein - Mary Shelley (everything I love, all in one book! ) |

Ohh... seriously? At least you tried reading it, because many people don't even dare to look at a copy of The Iliad haha I really adore it, read it at least once a year ever since 2002 |

| Maybe I should try it, but it was the oral composition style that really made me dislike The Odyssey, so I don't think I'd get anywhere with The Iliad! I only finished reading The Odyssey because I have to do an exam on it, heh. |

| I have read quite a few books I see as my favorites, but that's not to say I didn't enjoy the other ones I have read. Anyway, here's my list, in no particular order:
Harry Hole series Jo Nesbø En ung jentes siste ord (A young girl's last words) Regine Stokke Tipping the Velvet Sarah Waters The Conquerer series Conn Iggulden The Emperor series Conn Iggulden The Art of Seeing Cammie McGovern The Art of War Sun Tzu Last Night I Dreamed of Peace: The Diary of Dang Thuy Tram Dang Thuy Tram Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl Anne Frank Broken English Spoken Perfectly series Stewart Clark The Professor and the Madman: A Tale of Murder, Insanity, and the Making of the Oxford English Dictionary Simon Winchester
I also like most of the books Knut Nærum has written, he's a great author and just an awesome person, I love him. Especially his book Sitt ned og hold kjeft: en guide til deg som vil bli kvitt selvtilliten (Sit down and shut up: a guide on how to get rid of your self-confidence), it's just so funny, haha. :D |

| I know. XD The book is satire, since at the time when he wrote it, there were awfully lot of those self-help books getting released one after another, and he got sick of it, so he wrote this book, lol. :P
I have never heard of any of the authors nor the books you have mentioned, except for the Harry Potter saga. I've read all of the books, and I'm gonna watch the two last movies, but it's not on my favorite list, though, hehe. :P |
