| There was still an older edition of alan the world ^^;; I guess it'll be her own monthly column or something~ - Quote :
- ALAN THE WORLD #1
Hello! Nice to meet you. I am alan.
My real name is Alan Dawa Dolma. Dawa Dolma means Moon Angel. Tibetans all get a name related to nature attached to the back of their name. My cousin’s name is Sea Baby and my brother’s name is Sun.
I was born on 25 July 1987. I was raised in a place called Beauty Valley in Sichuan when I was a baby. The name Beauty Valley has links to many things; the water and air is clean, but it is not a stylish place... maybe (laughs).
You might not like me anymore if I tell you that I was a tomboy? I am actually quite boyish. I still have more than 5 scars left from when I got injured as a child. My father got worried and wished I would be more ladylike so he made me learn an instrument called the erhu. Because you have to sit still on a chair when you play the erhu (laughs).
In my 4th year of elementary school I was allowed to skip a grade and entered a junior high school in Chengdu that specializes in music. And when I was 16 years old, I entered an art university called the PLA Art Academy. The entrance exam was really difficult~ (sweat drop).
I learned music at the university and practiced really hard because I really hate to lose. In my 3rd year I entered and passed an audition of avex trax. But my parents were really opposed to me going to Japan at first.
I really love J-pop but I declined at first because it is really lonely to be separated from your family. Engaging in sparkly music activities seemed a bit scary. Because you don’t know how it will turn out. If I were to enter a Chinese music group, my life would be more stable and secure.
But I wanted to test my own strength. I wanted to challenge things. I came to Japan in the summer of 2007 and debuted in November. Japanese is really difficult, isn’t it? And the nights are also lonely.
I want to perform live in Budoukan someday. I want to become someone’s light! I have various dreams, but, to be honest, I also want to return to my precious family in China. But when I came to Japan, I decided that I wouldn’t return for at least 5 years. I will do my best.
I want to become the bridge between Japan and Asia. My hometown is in the countryside and has no school, so I also dream of building a school there. I wish I could bring peace to the world with my music.
But my power is still really small, too small to make those dreams come true. I don’t have the power to help others yet. But if I keep working and keep growing stronger, I will become able to help others.
I cut my hair short recently. That’s because my hair has been long since my debut and I wanted to change my image. The music I am currently making with my staff is a bit different from what I have done until now. I want to continue to show a new sides of alan, bit by bit, in the future.
Starting now, this is alan’s second chapter. It has begun. 5 years isn't enough, alan! :timeout

| alan really is brave. It's scary to go and live in a country with a different language, and even scary to do it alone. I'm glad she found the courage to do it! x3 - Quote :
