Hi guys!

I might look like I'm new, but this is my third account :bingo

(I keep forgetting passwords and usernames.)

Anyway.

We all love this forum right? Well, we have over 300 registered members...and, counting on the fact not everyone is like me and probably only has one account, that means this forum is terribly dead for such an amount!

So, to make things easier on the amazingness that is Pommy, what do you think we as forum members can do to make this a better forum? Would you like just more activeness from everyone? A new forum? More glitter and sparkles?

Or are you happy with how it is?

Haha, you know there's usually a "I forgot my username/password"-button that you can use when you forget them, right? x3

If you go to the memberlist, you can see that quite a big chunk of our 300+ members have a grand total of 0 posts. Which is depressing.

It would be awesome if we could get our members to be more active, but I'm not sure how we would go about doing that... Maybe contests or some sort of event? I don't know.

But I like this username, so here I stay!

And plus, it is very depressing, that people join and never post again. But I think activeness is where we could start. I think just keeping threads up to date, and alive, is the way to go! ^O^ Seeing up-to-date news and interesting off-topic threads is surely a way of enticing people to stay at A.I. Since it's small it can be more fun too! It doesn't have to be this way people ;_;

To be honest, most of our members are Chinese fans from Tieba. I promoted the forum there and many joined just to support us, but that's it. They only joined and little posted.

It's really sad when you go look at the members list and sort everyone by descending postcount...the active members only fill up 2 pages

It makes me really sad because I don't know what else to do. I thought about many options like maybe shutting the downloads section with a minimum postcount, but that will just drive people away...
I could threaten people with like "post by this week or you're deleted" but...that's just a stupid idea XD

Other forums have contests and winners get prizes...but I don't have the money for that X_X

Well, there's not many things in the download section anyway. It's not exactly, fast and up-to-date.

However, every big forum started somewhere. JPM, AHS - all were small at one point. It just took a small group of super-active members to recommend the forum and keep it interesting and alive! We don't want people staying only for snazzy competitions etc.

Plus, when alan gets more popular, more people will search for an alan-orientated forum.

I guess our best bet is to do as Chimako says; just try to keep the threads alive with interesting news and discussions.

Haha, Pommy, I don't think threatening peopleis a good way to stimulate conversation XD

As for contests, you don't have to give away prizes. The award could simply be... honour and glory. On the internet. And maybe a cute little banner toput in their signature.

Lol you have no idea just what kind of goodies I have in my alan video folder XD

But yeah~ It all starts with those extremely active ones XD
Hopefully their zeal will infect others XD

Oh our last banner, the winner was tenshi no Jane and if you notice, she has a special initiate from everyone else and she have a special GIF too!

We really need more active members. It really feels like a school and the active ones are the cool group.

AI usually gets more active when alan releases something new ;D

I think that part of the problem is that most members are from other big forums like AHS and post mostly on those forums. ..At least that's the case for me ^^;;

But I can't compete against tenshi...and my graphics skillz fail...but it'll be so fun!

And at love.alanx, we're all the cool group because we're the only ones that post :graduate How awesome is dat?! I don't want this to turn into the social spiral which is AHS sometimes. I just want more people posting. But that'll come naturally when people be more active and alan gains more popularity ^O^

Hm... I have experience of having a forum and being member of some forums and
I realized even huge forums have 'circle' of often posters and thats it.
Even in huge forum like AHS I always see the same people. And I dont think number is bigger than 20 ? So I stopped worrying about my forum. I have it for... 2 years and what stick them together is that we are only rnb community in my country. and rnb is not really popular in my country so its like heaven for them - to be able to talk about your fav artists with people. Forum got bigger when we included popular artists as rihanna or beyonce in urban categoria (not just 'real' rnb) so its quite lively there. That doesnt happen overnight, and when it does happen we have less active days and more active days ^_^

Ok I wrote a lot in not so new topic, but I havent seen it before

I think maybe it's time for a new layout for the forum ? With the PREMIUM BEST pics, we could make beautiful things !

I already have that planned...I'm waiting for the album to come out, so our graphic makers can have more pictures to work with

Thank you for being so sweet! But really...I don't manage a lot~ I only have to delete a few spam users and that's it! I just create a lot of new threads...I barely manage ;)

^ Haha yeah! We gained like 50 new users since alan promoted/came here~ Well...what I wanted for AI is for alan to come here, so I'll be satisfied with anything now
