| Subject: "alan" - A beautiful Name in my language~ Wed Nov 13, 2013 9:47 am | |
| While finding out information about alan, I saw some opinion said that her celebrity name, seemingly being similar to a male name (What the ****?) . I don't know how it is, right, quite difficult to understand. Because in my mother tongue, Vietnamese (which has many borrowed words from Chinese) "alan" is a very Chinese and girly name. Let me explain: - How's Chinese style? Maybe the historical factors affects the way how my ancestors call your name in Chinese style (I'm not sure about it). Example, "Mai" is your name, we can call you "A Mai" or "Mai Mai". Simply adding word "A" in front of your name, this calling name way is very old-style and informal. - How's girly? "lan" is a flower's name, "Orchids", in Vietnamese. Isn't so girly? Someway, I think alan likes a orchid so much, a beautiful white orchid has fresh growing and being full of living sap on immense Tibet Highland. (hehe, I'm daydreamer). That' all a new member as me wanna share to everyone!!! |

| Even though we know what her given name means it's still a nice coincidence that her stage name has another meaning. It's ironic and it ironically kind of fits her personality :) |

I have no intent to jeer or put her stage name in the same catelogy as her personality T_T. Sorry about that. I only praise that beautiful name by the way comparing to a flower. I'm concerned about my poor English, can take my opinion amiss |
