| Utada Hikaru for Kingdom Hearts, then Koda Kumi for FFX-2! I didn't like either of them though, but I do like both now. Then someone online sent me Ayu's "Because of You" and it was all love from there. |

| someone sent me sum miyavi and it was nice and then they said that never listen to ayumi hamasaki she is ugly, doesnt write her own lyrics, has had too much plastic surgery and cant sing - and I always do what ppl tell me to not do so I found Because of You and I fell in love.
also I remember RIKKI from FFX songs. still love it.

| Well it would be Ayu's Dearest or Namie's Come or DAI's Fukai Mori
But I didn't know they were Japanese....so the real first Japanese song I heard was probably Ayu's glitter |

| i think "Believe" or "Reason" from Nami Tamaki from a friend making me burn a CD... or "Hikari" - Utada Hikaru (but i didnt like it)... the first j-pop song i heard with no help was "NEW LOOK" - Namie Amuro :) |

| The theme song for Escoflowene Really got me into jpop music, but the first Jpop song is probably 8man back in the early 90s. I'm old school baby :P |

| The first Japanese song I listened to (that wasn't just an anime theme song) was Ayumi Hamasaki's memorial address. I found it when I was looking for anime music videos x3 The song really caught my attention, it was very different from the type of pop music I usually listened to. After repeating the video several times in a row, I managed to track down YesAsia and order the memorial address album. Aah, my first J-pop CD. memorial address is still my favorite Ayu song, even after all this time.
This was in 2003... I can't believe it's been 7 years already! |
