i've found this video "accidentally" ([LIVE] 姊妹 w/ Chae Yeon @ 夢想星搭檔) on alan-international facebook, generally speaking i'm pretty disappointed in alan's chinese carrier so far, due to the cheap c-pop style songs she has to sing, and this song is as bad as the others, or even worse, whoever is that other singer  

but

the first 50 seconds made my heart beat faster, and just as a teenager who still believes in true love, i thought for a second: yes, this is it, there is hope, my god she's singing again, and beautifully. unfortunately i'm old enough to know, not to be happy too soon, still... they say, hope dies last  

does anyone know, if she's gonna release song in similar style? or at least song which have similar parts and not spoiled with another "singer"

Yup, I completely agree with you. That performence will be better if there isn't the appearance of Ch*** "singer". 

This is a classic, so I was so happy that she sang this song. The original is so much better though, but they went the 'soft' route with it instead...

And the other singer is Korean. This show is for a children charity, so everyone has to team up. Lol like as if they would have a show where your favorite singer can just sing whatever they want?

If you really want to hear her wail, just go back to listening to her Avex works.
So far, we don't have a similar song...well Hui Wang might be a right step towards that direction

i just want to hear her heart and soul in the songs again,

of course i love her wail the most, folk or classical elements or styles have a big potential in my opinion, and alan really shines there.

for some, it might sounds "heresy" but i haven't even downloaded "love song" because it's lacking real emotions and melodies. (not talking about the lyrics, since i don't understand them anyway). also she can't use her voice fully in those average pop songs. it's like forcing celine dion to sing lady gaga songs just because we can sell that for the teenagers... it's a sin. if you had a ferrari, would you keep it in the garage all the time? (at least the japanese took her out for a few spins...)

i have a lot of singers whom i like and many have more songs i like, yet alan is the one whom i really care about, she is a very special person, and very talented, i still listen the above mentioned song frequently, i'm just not a blind fan who loves whatever comes out, just because it's alan...

hmmm... it is certainly a lot better, than "love song", i'd say it might be a good start towards some quality songs.

pommy you "know everything"... when i checked out "looking back" i saw a few videos where alan was competing in shows like "x-factor". why? or how is that possible at all, are they not even consider her as a professional singer in china? it is infuriating, when a judge (who is most likely an incompetent actor or teenager's idol singer-wanna-be) criticizes her performance. i feel it is insulting... i'm very mad, i don't know much about the chinese music industry, but i have never seen anything like this before

Other professional singers were on that show too.

unfortunately her folk image does not sell to much. so as she's under a label and they loves money so... the tendency is more pop songs. If she could be able to take care under her own career we would be able to get more alanwish songs.

I always thought Avex just got it right with her because (at least at the beginning) they have been able to give her just the right amount of pop and folk. She most definetely isn't a pop idol, but I feel she isn't completely folk either. Trick is to give her just a touch of a pop-sound, and she will appeal the public, I mean, she did it before, so she can do it again.

Chae Yeon is a Korean and in Republic of Korean, she is famous for her dance.Also, her Chinese is not so good. Therefore, Chae Yeon and alan chose some songs that is not difficult. Surely, alan has no chance to show her personal features. What a pity!

I highly doubt you'll be pleased with my doing, since I love her chinese discography! 
But I'm sure you're gonna be more satisfied with the new album alan is working on, since it seems she's taking back her folk roots and stuff!~
